Bérangère is a Partner at Sagard and has co-managed Sagard NewGen since its launch in 2020.
She has more than 15 years’ investment experience, which she first acquired as a member of the Sagard MidCap team, before deciding to specialise in technology and healthcare and launching Sagard NewGen, the Sagard fund dedicated to the technology and healthcare sectors in Europe.
Before joining Sagard in 2005, Bérangère began her career at PwC on the Transaction Services team, where she was involved in numerous transactions in France and internationally.
Bérangère is a graduate of HEC Paris.

Agnès is a Partner at Sagard and has co-managed Sagard NewGen since its launch in 2020.
She has around 15 years’ investment experience, which she first acquired as a member of the generalist Sagard MidCap team, before deciding to specialise in technology and healthcare and launching Sagard NewGen, the Sagard fund dedicated to the technology and healthcare sectors in Europe.
Before joining Sagard in 2007, Agnès began her career on the Transaction Services team at KPMG in Paris and then on the Investment Banking team at Deutsche Bank, where she was involved in a number of transactions in the TMT sector.
Agnès is a graduate of HEC Paris and holds a degree from a CEMS programme at Bocconi University in Milan.

Louis has been an Associate Director at Sagard NewGen since its launch.
Before joining Sagard in 2020, Louis began his career on the Investment Banking team at Deutsche Bank in Paris, where he worked on various transactions for private equity funds and corporates, notably in the chemical, financial services and technology sectors.
Louis is a graduate of EDHEC Business School (Programme Grande École).

Jan is an Director at Sagard NewGen.
He has more than 8 years of experience investing in and supporting companies.
Prior to joining Sagard, Jan was a Principal at Keensight Capital where he was involved in numerous transactions in France and Europe in the Technology and Healthcare sectors. Jan started his career in strategy consulting at Roland Berger where he conducted multiple projects in growth strategy, digital transformation and operational excellence in North America and Europe. He also trained in web development at Le Wagon’s bootcamp.
Jan holds an MBA from INSEAD and is a graduate of McGill University.

Martin has been an Associate Director at Sagard NewGen since its launch.
He has experience in supporting fast-growing companies in the technology sector.
Before joining Sagard in 2020, Martin began his career in M&A consulting for SMEs at Eurvad, where he worked primarily on LBO and growth capital operations for private equity funds and corporates, notably in the software publishing, IT services and digital marketing sectors.
Martin holds a Master’s in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering (Master 225) from Paris Dauphine University, as well as a Bachelor’s in Applied Economics from Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Guillaume is a Partner at Sagard and has co-managed Sagard NewGen since its launch in 2020.
He has more than 12 years’ experience of investing in and supporting companies in the tech and healthcare sectors. He was involved in the launch of Sagard NewGen in 2020, the Sagard fund dedicated to the technology and healthcare sectors in Europe.
Prior to that, Guillaume began his career in the Paris office of Argos Wityu, before joining Keensight Capital when it was launched in 2014, where he was involved in numerous transactions in the tech and healthcare sectors in France and Europe.
Guillaume is a graduate of ESCP Business School and Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

Jocelyn is the Founding Partner of Sagard.
He was in charge of preparing the strategy and business plan for the creation of Sagard Europe in 2001. He hired the first team members and led the Sagard 1 fundraising to successfully position Sagard among the most active investors in France’s SME segment.
He is responsible for the company’s strategic development and internal organisation. He also plays a pivotal role in the investment process as Chairman of the Investment Committee.
Jocelyn is a graduate of HEC Montréal. He is a Canadian Certified Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant.


Lucie is an Assistant at Sagard NewGen.
Lucie began her career in the tourism and luxury hotel sector, before moving into the finance sector in 2015.
Before joining Sagard in January 2021, she worked for a private investment bank and then a French-American hedge fund.
Lucie is a graduate of Excelia Business School in La Rochelle.


Brendan is a Senior Sales Principal at Sagard
There, he is responsible for helping our portfolio companies build their inside sales capabilities and be helping develop/coach sales teams to be more scalable.
Before joining, Brendan has had a career working with some of Toronto’s most notable start up’s Honeycomb Worldwide, Varicent Software, Field ID, and Leonardo. Brendan’s last role before joining Portage was as the Global Sales leader for OrangeHRM where he was responsible for all aspects of sales for the company.
Brendan is accustomed to starting a sales team from scratch or taking over an existing team and bringing in process and accountability within the sales organization. Brendan is also a former Co-President of the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals and an admitted Sales Geek.
Brendan graduated with a BA in Honours Business studies at the University of Huddersfield.


Nicolas is Financial Controller at Sagard.
Before joining Sagard, Nicolas worked in the private equity industry for more than seven years, first as an accountant at RSM Paris and Apax Partners and then as Accounting Manager at Unigrains.
Nicolas joined Sagard as Financial Controller in January 2021.
Nicolas holds a degree in Accounting and Organisational Management from the Institut de Formation de Cergy Pontoise.

Kim is a Expert HR at Sagard since 2021.
Kim Carrière is an HR Generalist, People & Culture at Sagard, and joined the firm in 2021. Kim is responsible for the overall recruitment process and talent acquisition. She coordinates and delivers practical Human Resources solutions, and participate in strategic HR initiatives. She also participates in the development and implementation of HR-related tools and metrics.
Prior to Sagard, Kim was Human Resources Adviser at Jarislowsky Fraser Limited, where she was in charge of the recruitment cycle, university outreach programs and was advising all levels of management on HR matters.
Kim holds a Bachelor Degree in Industrial relations from the University of Montreal.


James Crocker is Data Engineer at Sagard
James Crocker is a Data Engineer at Sagard. Prior to this role, he was the Data Lead at Setter, a home services marketplace, where he built out their data infrastructure, models and metrics leading to a data driven culture that achieved 5x YoY growth.
James holds a Masters in Business Analytics from Ivey Business School, from which he finished as Valedictorian, and B.Sc in Computer Science and B.E.Sc in Engineering from Western University from which he graduated 1st in class.

Charles has been an ESG Director at Sagard since September 2021.
Prior to joining Sagard in 2021, Charles began his career with Activa Capital’s investment team in Paris, where he worked on the deployment of ESG strategy at both the fund and investment levels. He also served on the Steering Committee of the ESG Commission of France Invest for more than two years.
Charles is a graduate of EM Lyon, Grande Ecole program and Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Economics and Finance.
He also has the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute obtained in 2021.


Amanda is Principal atSagard
Amanda Gaiotti is a Principal at Sagard and joined the firm in 2020. As a member of the value creation team, Amanda supports our portfolio partners on a variety of projects including M&A due diligence, acquisition integration, strategic planning and other business development initiatives. Most recently, she played a key role in successfully completing the Dialogue (TSX:CARE) IPO. Amanda also supports corporate development initiatives for the Sagard platform.
Prior to Sagard, Amanda was a Senior Director of Business Transformation and M&A Integration at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group where she led strategic planning, growth and operational optimization initiatives. In addition, she played a key role in the integration of multiple acquisitions, driving significant bottom line results for the company.
Amanda holds an MBA from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. She is a former coach and athlete of the National Synchronized Skating Team.


Ben is a Partner and the Head of Partnership at Sagard
Prior to joining Sagard in 2018, he spent more than 15 years at Canada Life in senior level strategy, product development and marketing roles across the organization, including the Head of Innovation for Canada.
As Head of Partnerships, Ben’s team works with those investors to help them execute on their strategic objectives through a combination of commercial partnerships with the fund’s portfolio companies and relevant and differentiated insights into the trends shaping the fintech sector.
Ben is a graduate of the Business Administration program (BBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Sinath is a Principal Partnerships & Policy at Sagard
Sinath Kim is a Principal, Partnerships and Policy at Sagard and joined the firm in 2018. Sinath is responsible for helping Sagard’s investors maximize the strategic value of their investment by identifying and facilitating commercial partnerships between limited partners and portfolio companies and delivering actionable insights on market trends and developments in collaboration with the investment and value creation teams.
Prior to Sagard, Sinath was a Director, Enterprise Innovation at CIBC where she was responsible for identifying and facilitating fintech partnerships, delivering insights on fintech trends, and leading the implementation of the partnerships framework. Sinath also has in-depth knowledge and experience in risk and compliance through her time at BMO Financial Group.
Sinath holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario.

Jeff is a Partner at Sagard
Jeff Johnson is a Partner of Sagard and joined the firm in 2012. Jeff is a member of the Corporate Development team where he leads Sagard’s strategic M&A activities and contributes to organic growth initiatives. Jeff also supports Sagard portfolio companies’ M&A and financing activities as part of Sagard’s Value Creation team.
In addition, he is responsible for overseeing private investments on Sagard’s balance sheet, and currently serves on the boards of Peak Achievement Athletics and Rawlings Sporting Goods. He previously served on the boards of Vein Clinics of America, IntegraMed Fertility, Jaguar Health (Nasdaq: JAGX), and was a board observer at GP Strategies (NYSE: GPX). Jeff is a member of the Sagard Private Equity Canada investment committee. He is based in New York.
Prior to Sagard, Jeff was a Portfolio Manager at Evercore Asset Management investing in small cap public equities. Earlier in his career he was a Portfolio Manager at Citigroup. He began his career in management consulting.
Jeff holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Distinction) and a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College (Cum Laude).


Mariane is Managing Director at Sagard.
Mariane began her career with Andersen in Paris, where over 15 years she held a variety of positions, including Audit Director and Deputy Corporate Secretary for Andersen France.
During this period, she led a number of international projects to reorganise the group’s infrastructure, and was responsible for the operational management of the administrative and financial departments at Andersen France.
Mariane joined Sagard in February 2002 as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer to structure the firm’s organisation. She was promoted to Managing Director in 2019 and Partner on 1 January 2020.
She is in charge of the firm’s finances, risk management and administration and also manages investor relations.
Mariane is a graduate of École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP).


Joseph is the Chief Information Security Officer at Sagard
Prior to this role, Joseph was the Head of Critical Infrastructure Partnerships at the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security where he oversaw the declassification and transfer of cyber defence technology from government to large financial services enterprises in Canada and managed a team of cyber security advisors who supported the telecommunications, finance, energy, health, and transportation sectors.
Before the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, Joseph spent time in Doha, Qatar with Global Risk Advisors where he was the Director of Cyber Security. His prior experience includes a long history of public service as part of Canada’s Communications Security Establishment where he spent fifteen years in progressive roles at the intersection of technology and security.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.


Jonathan is the Chief Growth Officer of Sagard
Prior to coming onboard, Jonathan was the CMO of Policygenius, America’s leading insuretech marketplace, where he led a division of +40, helped the business scale 10x in revenue, and secure their Series D funding.
Previously, Jonathan led marketing at Hult International Business School in London, building out their global marketing teams, and has marketing experience across entertainment (Live Nation), luxury goods (Tiffany & Co) and retail (Diesel). Jonathan began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble in Toronto. He is also the board chair for the Canadian Climate Challenge.
Jonathan holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from Queen’s University.

Geneviève is a People & Culture Manager at Sagard since 2021.
Geneviève Lukenda-Lund is People & Culture Manager at Sagard and joined the firm in 2021. Geneviève is responsible for overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of human resources at the firm. Her focus areas will be talent and leadership development, as well as growth and transformation strategies.
Geneviève will be partnering with the President and the Leadership Team.
Prior to Sagard, Geneviève was Vice-President of People and Transformation at Medicom where she was the HR strategic partner to the Leadership team and led a significant HR transformation, which contributed to Medicom’s international growth, and its first ever designation of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. Geneviève also held various business consulting roles enabling medium-sized companies in executing their growth and efficiency strategies.
Geneviève holds a B.Sc. Biology from the University of Saint-Bonaventure, NY and an MBA from the Norwegian School of Management, BI.


Catherine is Legal Director at Sagard.
Over a period of 10 years, she served as Chief Financial Officer at three management companies (Activa Capital, Edmonde de Rothschild and Galileo Partners). Prior to that, Catherine was a Senior Manager at PwC, where she spent 10 years in the Audit and Transaction Services departments in France and Germany.
Catherine is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from ESCAE Dijon.


Romain is Deputy CFO at Sagard.
Romain was Financial Controller at Access Capital Partners, where he began his career in 2007, and then at Astorg from 2012 until he joined Sagard.
He joined Sagard as Deputy CFO in October 2020.
Romain holds Master’s degrees in Finance from Essec and Management from Institut Mines-Telecom.


Carl is an Associate, Partnerships and Policy at Sagard
Carl Qiu joined the firm in 2021. Carl is responsible for helping Sagard’s investors maximize the strategic value of their investment by identifying and facilitating commercial partnerships between limited partners and portfolio companies and delivering actionable insights on market trends and developments in collaboration with the investment and value creation teams.
Prior to Sagard, Carl spent four years at RBC across several divisions, most recently at RBC Ventures where he supported the relationship management and business development teams on key strategic initiatives.
Carl holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a B.B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Ian is a Director Growth and Operations Improvement.
Ian Sherman is the Director of Growth and Value Creation at Sagard and joined the firm in 2022. Ian supports Sagard’s global portfolio with achieving revenue growth and improving operations. He is a member of the Value Creation Team and is based in New York, NY.
Prior to Sagard, Ian was Head of Growth at an e-commerce company, Bokksu, where he revitalized contribution margin and profitably led the business through multi year 8-figure revenue growth. Previously, he diligenced consumer businesses at Cohanzick Management and managed upwards of $40mm marketing budgets for well-known consumer brands (AllState, MasterCard, StubHub) at a performance marketing agency: Ampush.
Ian holds a B.A. in Public Policy and Psychology from Brown University.


Jonathan is a Managing Partner of Sagard
Jonathan Tétrault is a Managing Partner of Sagard. He leads the corporate development activities of Sagard and is responsible for the value creation team supporting Sagard’s portfolio companies. Prior to this role, Jonathan served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group where he oversaw the operations and corporate development activities of the group globally. Prior to joining Cirque du Soleil, he was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he advised institutional investors, private equity firms, asset management firms and banks on a broad range of strategic and investment matters in more than 25 countries.
Jonathan holds an MBA from Oxford University, an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal, and a CEP from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec and serves on several boards, including the C.D. Howe Institute, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the One Drop International Foundation, and the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.


Marie-Agnès is Head of HR, Administration and Treasury at Sagard.
She spent nine years at Total SA, including three years in financial communications. She joined Cheuvreux de Virieu (Indosuez Brokerage firm) in 1993 and then Merrill Lynch in 1998 as Office Manager.
Since joining Sagard in February 2002, she has managed human resources, administration and treasury for the management company and the funds.
Marie-Agnès holds a diploma in Management from ESSEC.


Sinath is a Partner and Chief Technology Officer at Sagard
Prior to this role, Scott was the CTO and Co-founder at Compass Digital Labs, a subsidiary of Compass Group. He was responsible for Product Management, Data Science and Analytics, UX Design and Research, and Software Engineering. Under his leadership, his team has created a mobile food ordering, pick-up, and delivery platform deployed in thousands of locations in the US. In 2021, his team launched Compass’ first AI platform that sold consumer purchase behaviour insights to companies like Red Bull. Scott also created Compass Digital Ventures, a CVC focused on investing in food-tech startups that will help make the food experience of the future.
Scott holds a B.Eng degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.
